About The Position

The Class A Driver is responsible for operation of commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw material with attention to prompt and efficient customer service. Essential Duties/Responsibilities include running established routes, picking up raw materials, weighing in raw material when returning to the plant, and weighing in and out of customer locations as needed. The driver is responsible for ensuring loads are tarped before leaving the plant or customer location and maintaining cleanliness at customer locations. The driver must also conduct all safety checks and inspections of the vehicle, operate the vehicle under state, federal, and local regulations, and in accordance with company policy and procedures, while observing all company safety rules. Maintaining excellent customer relations by presenting a professional appearance and attitude is crucial. The driver is responsible for completing all company-required paperwork in accordance with company policies, including route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, mileage reports, and service forms. Additionally, the driver must maintain and update the vehicle condition report daily and maintain DOT hours of service with the onboard computer in accordance with company policy. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be current CDL Class A holder with clean MVR.
  • One year experience required.
  • Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Responsibilities
