About The Position

The Department of Philosophy in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University invites applications for a Lecturer (non-tenure track) to join our team for the 2026 Summer Semester. This is an associated faculty position, one semester appointment for the full summer term (appointment dates are 05/11/26-08/14/26) with the potential for renewal.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or other terminal degree in Philosophy, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Demonstrated classroom teaching experience
• Must reside in the state of Ohio at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment

Responsibilities

• teach undergraduate courses in the area of Philosophy as assigned
• hold office hours
• grade assignments and submit grades
• may participate in curriculum development and course coordination
