About The Position
As a Selling Flex Associate at Belk, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the shopping experience for our customers. You will be expected to continually learn about Belk's merchandise and utilize industry technology to improve your selling skills. Your primary focus will be on providing excellent customer service, demonstrating initiative, and achieving sales goals while maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to store standards. In this role, you will proactively greet and engage customers, ensuring that each interaction is warm and friendly. You will support the store in meeting or exceeding its customer service goals by handling transactions professionally and thanking customers by name after their purchases. Additionally, you will be responsible for using suggestive selling techniques and meeting solicitation goals for the Belk credit Rewards program. Understanding the store assortment and inventory available at other locations and on belk.com will be essential to assist customers effectively. Continuous learning and innovation are key components of this position. You will utilize mobile devices and digital technology to enhance the customer shopping experience, including using the Belk App and website to assist customers with their purchases. Focusing on results is vital, as you will be expected to meet personal sales per hour goals and increase units sold per transaction by recommending products. You will also work collaboratively with co-workers and managers to maintain store standards and support the operations team in displaying new merchandise in a timely manner.
