About The Position

Arroyo Parkway Self Storage is looking for an energetic and motivated individual for a Roving to Full Time Storage Consultant. Successful candidates come from a variety of customer-centered, selling environments including retail, restaurant, fast food and more.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of sales and customer service experience.
  • Customer service-oriented with exceptional organizational and administrative skills to assist in the management of all tenant and office operations.
  • Detail oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Energetic, outgoing, customer-oriented personality.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
  • Enjoys and easily operates independently or as part of a small team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Outlook)
  • Available to work any day of the week, including weekends.
  • California Driver's License, current car insurance; with a good driving record and access to reliable transportation.
  • Be willing to complete a pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Good credit history.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service by helping customers understand their needs, recommend storage solutions and help them acquire the product solutions needed.
  • Assist customers (both in person and on the phone) in taking payments, answering storage needs, renting storage units, understanding the terms, fees and completing rental agreements.
  • Complete new move-in and move-out transactions, which also include computer data entry.
  • Consult and sell merchandise such as boxes, tape and other appropriate products that meet their needs.
  • Verify and balance cash drawer; prepare and make daily deposits.
  • Conduct a daily storage unit inspection to confirm availability and ensure each storage unit is secure or ready to rent.
  • Work closely with the Property Manager to receive training and coaching when needed, striving to exceed the company's expectations.
  • Ensure the curb appeal of the facility, both inside and out, is rent ready by cleaning units, sweeping, mopping, removing debris, wiping windows, etc. Ultimately ensuring that the office appearance is clean, safe and welcoming.
  • Clean around the property, sweep up storage units and buildings, office, restrooms and restock supplies daily.
  • Uphold a professional appearance at all times.
