About The Position

Morgan Stanley is seeking a talented product manager to join its Wealth Management Platforms division in New York Plaza, NY. This role is crucial for building an industry-leading, highly automated lending platform that will directly contribute to Morgan Stanley U.S. Banks' growth strategy. It is a highly collaborative position, requiring close work with a team of digital product managers, engineers, designers, operations, credit, finance, and business stakeholders to enhance the customer experience. As an Assistant Vice President (AVP), the Self Directed SBL Product Manager will be responsible for enabling new cross-bank collaterals and developing self-directed loan application journeys. The Wealth Management Platforms team specifically manages industry-leading platforms across all Wealth Management channels and client segments to provide a unified digital experience, unlock growth, and deliver efficiencies for Advisors, Clients, and Institutions.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in technology product management and design
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the wealth management, retail banking, and/or consumer financial technology
  • 5+ years of experience of building and scaling complex data platform
  • Working knowledge of financial lending products
  • Experience with software business analysis
  • BE/B.tech/MCA required
  • Excellent communicator with solid written and verbal presentation skills
  • Professional experience in consumer technology, banking, wealth management and /or top tier consulting firm
  • Strong attention to detail in both technical and non-technical capacity
  • Focus on usability and eye for design
  • Excellent relationship building capabilities with partners both internal and external to the organization
  • Independent initiative and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinker able to define and evaluate alternatives, and translate goals into specific project tasks
  • Highly developed sense of ownership and accountability for work
  • Ability to adapt to change and evolving business needs
  • Ability to measure a given business problem to both quantify the issue and the benefits from the technology solution

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, risk, technology and operations to enhance processes and streamline lending product related workflows
  • Diagnose and resolve any technical issues or system errors that may arise within the lending platforms
