About The Position
As a Self-Checkout Host at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, delivering exceptional customer service, while our customer's scan and self-pay for their basket. You will oversee self-checkout units, ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your role includes assisting customers as they scan, weigh, bag and pay for their own items, ensuring a smooth and seamless process. You will serve multiple customers at once and anticipate issues before they occur, answer questions, and assist with issues that arise (large items, scanning/weighing issues, payment issues, etc.). You will monitor scanning activity to ensure scanning accuracy and invite Sprouts customers to use self-checkout lanes, especially if lines are forming in other lanes. Additionally, you will maintain knowledge of weekly ad items, promotions and events; provide direction of product location throughout the store, ensure that self-checkout areas are always maintained in a clean and orderly condition, and execute all other related duties as assigned. Finally, you will thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area.
