About The Position

This role involves accurately picking and assembling orders using a Vocollect Voice headset, maintaining product integrity and safety standards, and ensuring efficient pallet stacking for outbound transportation. The position requires collaboration across departments to uphold food safety protocols and a clean, organized work environment. This is a pay-by-piece position. The initial pay is $18.75 per hour during training period and then after the pay is dependent on productivity and volume.

Requirements

• The ability to lift 50/80 pounds regularly
• The ability to work for periods of time in cooler and freezer
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations

Nice To Haves

• Related work experience in distribution and warehousing food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Work independently
• Experience with Vocollect Voice Pick a plus
• Ability to operate Warehouse Equipment, electric pallet, pallet rider and or forklift a plus
• Ability to follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Able to understand purchase orders through Vocollect Voice select headset in English
• Accurately count and assemble boxes according to purchase orders - maintain balanced pallet loads
• Maintains product integrity, and temperature controls
• Works with all departments to assure Safe Quality Food controls
• Ability to organize work and be efficient while picking orders
• Works with safety in mind at all times
• Follows FIFO system of order picking to ensure a fair and equitable disbursement of work to all
• Maintain safe trucks through proper stacking and wrapping of pallets for safe weight distribution in trucks
• Stacks pallets according to specifications for safety and stage them for outbound transportation
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Removal of packaging and pallets after picking and daily cleanups
• Assist in other departments as needed
