The Seizure Monitory Technician maintains the integrity of VEEG monitoring and patient safety surveillance by continuously monitoring patients undergoing video-EEG recording (VEEG) in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) for seizure activity. Serves as an integral member of the patient care team, providing real-time virtual safety surveillance on patients undergoing VEEG and promptly notifying the patient care team of any clinical events of concern. They will assist EEG technologists with routine tasks, including restocking supplies and disinfecting electrodes and equipment when not actively monitoring patients. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position working 3 days/nights rotating 12-hour shifts per week, with weekend (15%) and night shift (20%) differentials.
