Requirements

• Requires the ability to work compatibly in a food service atmosphere.
• Requires the physical ability to stand and walk short distances most of the working day, and to reach for, lift, and carry various materials, and to perform light and heavy cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Cleans equipment, utensils, pots and pans, and work areas including floors and walls, and handles supplies in a food service department.
• Picks up used dishes from counter areas and tables, prepares for washing by scraping and pre-rinsing, and washes by machine or by hand.
• Performs general helper duties and assists in handling supplies and food as directed.
• Maintains prescribed sanitation standards performing duties such as cleaning machines and kitchen equipment, washing floors and walls, and may wax floors.
• Performs other duties as directed.
