About The Position
The position involves collecting specimens from patients and processing them for testing, storage, or sending to outside labs according to established procedures. The role requires interaction with patients to explain specimen collection procedures and maintaining necessary records and documentation. The individual will also perform follow-up on redraws, missing specimens, and incorrect tests, assist in maintaining work areas, and perform clerical tasks in support of the department. Training newly hired staff and assisting patients with wardrobe for blood draws and urine collection are also part of the responsibilities. The position supports the organization's mission, vision, values, and customer service initiatives.
