The Seeding Lead is responsible for coordinating the daily seeding/harvest plan and ensuring the seeding/harvest crew operates safely and efficiently, adhering to standardized practices and achieving required results.

Requirements

1 + years of experience in a production environment or related work experience
Training in Food Safety and Sanitation
Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, safety rules, label mixing instructions.
Ability to fulfill routine logs related to food safety and inspection reports.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.

Nice To Haves

Food or agriculture industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise the harvest and sowing crew in daily operations to ensure daily plan and goals are met, corrects errors and provides feedback when needed.
Train and educate crew in operating procedures with emphasis on safety and food safety.
Adhere to all current SOP’s, procedures, inspections and quality requirements.
Communicate with supervisor when irregularities with product or equipment occur.
Create daily harvest and sowing plan under guidance of supervisor and make decisions as instructed.
Ensure accurate record keeping of performed testing and recording charts are properly documented according to company and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure harvest and sowing crew maintains a safe, clean, organized work area and performs periodic sanitation as required.
Report food safety and quality problems to Supervisor, the SQF Practitioner or directly to Senior Management.
