About The Position

The Seeding Lead is responsible for coordinating the daily seeding/harvest plan and ensuring the seeding/harvest crew operates safely and efficiently, adhering to standardized practices and achieving required results.

Requirements

  • 1 + years of experience in a production environment or related work experience
  • Training in Food Safety and Sanitation
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, safety rules, label mixing instructions.
  • Ability to fulfill routine logs related to food safety and inspection reports.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.

Nice To Haves

  • Food or agriculture industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the harvest and sowing crew in daily operations to ensure daily plan and goals are met, corrects errors and provides feedback when needed.
  • Train and educate crew in operating procedures with emphasis on safety and food safety.
  • Adhere to all current SOP’s, procedures, inspections and quality requirements.
  • Communicate with supervisor when irregularities with product or equipment occur.
  • Create daily harvest and sowing plan under guidance of supervisor and make decisions as instructed.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping of performed testing and recording charts are properly documented according to company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure harvest and sowing crew maintains a safe, clean, organized work area and performs periodic sanitation as required.
  • Report food safety and quality problems to Supervisor, the SQF Practitioner or directly to Senior Management.
