Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting problems associated with equipment, processes, and systems as needed. The role supports areas across the plant in driving the adoption of continuous improvement practices and programs such as 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma, which are conducive to an organized and clean work environment. The position also requires utilizing Focused Improvement techniques, such as 5WHYs, to initiate process and standard work improvements. Additionally, the role involves providing coaching and training to seasonal workforce, area trainees, and peers to support achievement and personal development. Ensuring upstream activities, such as field inspection and grower contracts, are handled within company standards and business requirements is also a key responsibility. The position requires cultivating partnerships with key business partners to plant and field operations, using SAP to support administrative procedures, and maintaining key process documentation. Adherence to Bayer's Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards is essential, as is compliance with internal procedures and legal requirements applicable to area activities. Participation in and preparation to lead Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings is expected, along with supporting and maintaining metrics and relevant information on current Visual Management boards to drive teamwork and facilitate shift changeovers.
