Inari is seeking a Seed Inventory Manager to oversee a team responsible for developing, implementing, and managing business systems and processes that minimize risk while ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance in the use of Inari's germplasm. This role is crucial for managing and fulfilling seed requests from inventory and onboarding externally procured seed. The Seed Inventory Manager will collaborate with various departments, including Legal, Regulatory, Commercial, and Product Development, to facilitate seed requests and management. This position is based in West Lafayette, Indiana, and is part of the Seed Operations team, which focuses on process development and continuous improvement. The Seed Inventory Manager will lead the electronic and physical onboarding of seed into Inari's seed stock and manage the seed request process to ensure distribution aligns with project needs and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include overseeing the internal distribution of seed based on requests, inventory levels, and established priorities. The manager will also collaborate with multiple teams to meet deadlines and company goals related to seed acquisition and distribution. Additionally, the role involves leading the development and implementation of risk-mitigating processes and procedures related to seed inventory and use, ensuring compliance with international, federal, state, and local laws during seed shipping and receiving. As a center of expertise for phytosanitary requirements, the Seed Inventory Manager will support the team and other functions in obtaining necessary phytosanitary certificates for seed movement. Collaboration with the Breeding team is essential to create and improve policies and procedures for managing Inari's germplasm. The manager will also forecast germplasm use and enhance processes for scientific and early product development. A key aspect of this role is managing personnel within the seed resources team, providing leadership, and developing employees to maintain a high-performing team.
