About The Position

This position will work closely with the Director of Seed Business to implement and execute the Keystone Seed Hub strategy to its fullest.

  • Required overtime as the season demands.
  • Minimum of a Class B CDL with appropriate endorsements
  • Valid driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree, in agriculture or related field; or a combination of education and/or experience
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Hub Operations Supports Keystone Cooperative’s stated Mission, Vision, and Business Values modeled in professional behaviors with our vendors and employees
  • Identify and create efficiency of the greater Keystone Seed Business by looking across Hubs personnel, capital assets, and supply utilization.
  • Be self-motivated to gain and demonstrate knowledge of products, services and technologies.
  • Responsible for timely communication with the Seed Director on strategies and operational information that could improve outcomes.
  • Support all downstream treatment of Soybeans, ensuring consistency and quality through onboarding, continued training and best practice sharing.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that department facilities and equipment meet all federal, state, and OSHA regulations.
  • Manage costs by eliminating shrink, managing inventories, and maximizing efficiencies.
  • Asset Evaluation- Maintenance Plans, new additions, or improvements to current assets.
  • Maximize asset deployment.
  • Communicate and collaborate cross hub logistics to maximize inventory and serve the customer’s needs locally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Systems Administration & Vendor Relationship Ensure timely orders and supply utilization.
  • Provide coach, instruct & support on proper utilization of SSI Agvance & Seed Edge tools to Hub Specialist and Admin team
  • Support ADMIN and Seed Hubs data entry and coding (Ie Replant & LCR)
  • Be capable of supporting partner systems and processes.
  • Work with Vendors systems to execute critical tasks by deadlines.
  • Be knowledgeable in processes and communicate with Keystone Field.
  • Hub Operations People Leadership Lead a team of 2 or more full time Operations and/or Driver/Operations individuals
  • Supervise Seed operations specialist, operations, and other support roles to be defined.
  • Provide coaching and development check-ins to ensure culture, process, and skill progression.
  • Oversee the execution of day-to-day operations procedures across business working collaboratively with other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement onboarding & continuous training for Operation Specialist and Seed Support onboarding.
  • Grow seed & seed treatment sales through on farm and sales activity.
