Role description: Arcadis is seeking a Sediment Remediation Engineer to join our sediment practice and support nationwide waterfront projects that include sediment characterization, remediation, and construction, and other waterfront engineering, restoration, and resiliency projects. You will have demonstrated experience working in various aspects of contaminated sediment sites. Role accountabilities: In this role, you will serve as engineer on sediment and waterfront projects nationwide through site investigation, feasibility study, design, and construction phases of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field of practice
  • 5 years of experience

  • 10 years of experience
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related field of practice
  • The successful candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following: environmental dredging and dredged material management, sediment capping, in situ treatment or stabilization of sediments, soft sediment/geotechnical aspects of sediment remediation, groundwater-surface water interaction, hydrodynamic modeling, or resiliency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare feasibility studies, pre-design investigations, and remedial designs, including evaluating sediment remediation technologies, preparing calculations and cost estimates, preparing reports, and preparing design drawings and specifications.
  • Lead preparation of written documents and designs that are suitable for senior-level review with regard tofor technical content and quality.
  • Effectively work with and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including development and management of project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and communications with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide mentoring and training junior engineers and scientists.
  • Serving as a technical resource on sediment remediation projects, including providing expertise to internal teams and involvement or presentations to industry organizations.
  • Supporting business development opportunities which may include client meetings and proposal development.

  • The salary range for this position is $68,187-112,509.. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
