About The Position

Job Summary: Patrols premises to maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure observance of applicable laws by performing the following duties.   Qualifications & Hiring Requirements:   1. Must have reached 18 years of age. 2. Must have attained High School Diploma or GED or complete within six months of hire. 3. Able to present valid State-issued Driver's License and Social Security Card. (Must have valid State-issued drivers license if applying for position requiring operation of a motor vehicle) 4. Must be able to successfully complete our pre-employment process including a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle check. 5. Maintain a drug-free lifestyle. (A pre-employment Drug Screen will be performed as well as random testing per BBB policy) 6. Exhibit a solid work ethic and a willingness to work when assigned based on need of company. (Extensive previous employment verification and character reference checks will be performed) 7. Must meet any professional licensing requirements set forth and/or regulated by City-Government or other State Agencies having authority over security industry operations. 8. Other: 401K Retirement Savings Plan Qualifications   Skills & Physical Requirements:   1. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. 2. Must be able to understand and follow instructions provided in Post Orders or by supervisory personnel and accurately retain information for recall at a later time. 3. Must communicate clearly and effectively with others. 4. Must use appropriate method of communicating in a reasonable manner in stressful situations. 5. Must be capable of rapidly making sound decisions and using good judgment in all situations. 6. Must have ability to effectively work in fast-paced environments with constantly changing priorities and with the strictest of confidentiality. 7. Must be capable of using telephones, two-way radios, and common office equipment. (Some assigned duties may require proficiency with computer-based research and software programs --Training will be provided) 8. Must remain alert and vigilant while on duty in order to detect and safely respond to unusual and emergency situations rapidly. 9. Must maintain physical condition appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include walking, running, or climbing stairs rapidly during emergency situations. Duties may also require standing, bending, lifting, sitting for extended periods, and frequently operating office equipment. 10. Must be able to perform outdoor duties during all types of weather conditions. 11. Must meet all physical requirements listed on BBB application.   Duties & Responsibilities:   1. Conduct indoor/outdoor security patrols of buildings, facilities, and property at assigned site to deter criminal activity. This may include video surveillance, foot, bicycle, and/or mobile patrolling methods. 2. Control access in and out of client's property. Perform inspections of all persons and items brought in to or leaving property in accordance with client directives. 3. Direct and control pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic on client's property. 4. Monitor conditions around client's property by use of two-way radios, fire alarm, intrusion, and/or surveillance systems. 5. Secure and safe-guard proprietary and/or confidential information, documents, or data. 6. Conduct safety awareness and fire watch patrols as required. 7. Interpret and follow verbal and/or written orders, directives, or instructions provided by Brantley Management personnel or the client's representative. 8. Immediately respond to emergency situations where life-threatening, risk to property, or other disturbance conditions may exist. Observe & report your findings immediately to the appropriate persons (i.e.: Emergency Services, Block By Block, Client Representative, etc...) 9. Produce clear, legible, and concise written documentation when required.   Shifts:  Nights  9:00pm to 7:00pm (4-10) Days off TBD
