The Security Training and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for security trainings and maintain compliance with security officer and Supervisor minimum job certification requirements. Provides security for patients, employees, and visitors; initiates appropriate investigation and follow up. Position will assist in supporting the in-house trainers, tracking, and auditing all departmental trainings are completed in a timely manner. This position is also responsible in annual risk assessments as indicated under the Environment of Care Committee Security Management Plan and updating/reporting on metrics.

  • Monitor, track and report key training metrics.
  • Assist in-house trainers in training sessions.
  • Coordinate and instruct Crisis Prevention Institute trainings for LG Health.
  • Create and maintain new officer training schedule and annual competency assessments.
  • Conduct annual Security HVA and Ambulatory security site assessments indicated under the Environment of Care Committee Security Management Plan.
  • Responsible for various trainings and certifications including International Association for Healthcare Security Basic, Advanced and Supervisor certification program, CPR/AED Certification, Crisis Prevention Institution (CPI), Practical and Tactical Handcuffing (PATH), Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT), Personal Protection Control and Defense (Self-Defense Training), PA Lethal Weapons Training ACT 235, Armed Officer Range Scores, N95 fit testing, and Active Shooter training.
  • High school diploma / GED.
  • Possess a valid State Driver's License.
  • Six (6) years of law enforcement security, or a four (4) year college degree in a related field.
  • Ability to assist in field orientation of new officers.
  • Ability to prepare memoranda, reports and essays; using proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of people from many diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Ability to function effectively within a team environment.
  • Must complete and maintain the following certifications within one (1) year of employment: National Rifle Association Range Instructor, Crisis Prevention Institute Instructor, Personal Protection Consultants, Inc Instructor for PATH, OCAT, and Defensive Tactics, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, PA Act 235 certification with firearms.
  • Two (2) years of management supervision experience.
  • Three (3) years of experience with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health.
