About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Access Control & Security Systems Technician to support installation, service, and troubleshooting of access control, CCTV, and burglar alarm systems across commercial customer sites in the Memphis area. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role that requires strong technical skills, professional communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years installing Access Control devices
  • 3+ years installing CCTV systems
  • 3+ years installing Burglar alarm systems
  • Active Tennessee Alarm License (required)
  • Experience with: Low‑voltage systems
  • Experience with: Cable pulling and structured cabling
  • Experience with: Fire alarm systems
  • Experience with: Service/repair work

Nice To Haves

  • Axis camera experience
  • Level 1 certification (not required, but highly preferred)

Responsibilities

  • System Installation: Install and configure Access Control, CCTV, and Burglar Alarm systems in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Service Call Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of service calls, including assessment, troubleshooting, repair, documentation, and customer sign‑off.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose technical issues quickly, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions—whether repairing, replacing, or reconfiguring components.
  • Hands‑On Repair: Perform hardware fixes, adjustments, system testing, and verification to ensure full system functionality.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide professional, customer‑facing service while on site, maintaining strong communication and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Complete all required service documentation accurately, including notes, work performed, and equipment status.
  • Install, program, and service fire alarm systems.
  • Perform tasks involving low‑voltage communications.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on multiple low‑voltage platforms.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and system issues using appropriate testing devices.
  • Maintain compliance with electrical and fire safety codes.
  • Work independently or as part of a team as needed.
  • Properly maintain tools, equipment, and company assets.
