About The Position

As a Security Systems Technician at Siemens, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. This position involves the installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of advanced integrated security systems, including CCTV, alarm sensors, and access control devices. You will also mentor less experienced technicians, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within the team. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining customer relationships and ensuring the security of their environments.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated Security Systems (Mid Level).
  • 3+ years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated Security Systems (Senior Level).
  • Understanding of network components, workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing, and subnetting.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including climbing ladders and working in extreme conditions.
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systems.
  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents.
  • Familiarity with Genetec, Software House, Milestone, Aiphone.

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, start-up, and commission integrated security systems including CCTV, alarm sensors, and access control devices.
  • Participate in operational testing, verification, and acceptance of security systems.
  • Run routine reports to review system operation and participate in final inspection and testing.
  • Support customer acceptance and assist with customer training on system operations.
  • Complete and submit routine written reports regarding system performance.
  • Identify code and non-conformance issues and make recommendations for system installation.
  • Support scheduling of trade contractors to coordinate start-up services as needed.
