About The Position

Berkshire Systems Group, Inc. is a leading systems integration company with 40+ years of experience, specializing in fire safety, security, and communications solutions for commercial, industrial, and government clients. We’re looking for a technically skilled professional to install, configure, and maintain security systems while integrating them with IT/network infrastructure. You’ll work with CCTV, access control, alarms, cloud platforms, and IP networks, providing technical support and troubleshooting for clients across Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in security system installation and IT/network troubleshooting
  • Electronics or IT technical background
  • Familiarity with networking standards, IP cameras, CATV, and wireless systems
  • Technology certifications (Networking Fundamentals, Access 101, Video Surveillance 101, CompTIA Network+) preferred
  • Manufacturer certifications (Bosch, Panasonic, Crestron, Telecor) preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills
  • Experience working at heights using lifts and ladders
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Technology certifications (Networking Fundamentals, Access 101, Video Surveillance 101, CompTIA Network+)

Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and maintain CCTV, card access, alarms, and electronic panels
  • Configure and troubleshoot IP-based security systems, cloud platforms, and networked devices
  • Apply networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems
  • Commission and test security/communication systems for proper operation
  • Read and apply technical drawings, scopes of work, and manufacturer documentation
  • Document system configurations, service calls, and project progress
  • Provide client training and technical support
  • Participate in on-call rotation; travel statewide including occasional overnight stays
