SMX is hiring an Security Systems Integration Technician with a strong background in installing, configuring and maintaining ESS solutions to join our team! This position will be located in the San Diego, CA metro area and will implement Electronic Security Systems solutions directly for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Webster Outlying Field (WOLF), Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS) Division to support a subset of Tactical and Remote C5I Edge Systems (TARCES) projects including legacy, current and next generation telecommunication and related communications-electronics (C-E) systems requirements and the design, development, integration, test and evaluation, fielding and sustainment of industry standard electronic security systems, subsystems, and components. As a Security Systems Integration Technician on our team, you'll be responsible for providing technical inputs and recommendations to government customers and integrated project teams. You will support preventative and corrective maintenance efforts for Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) security hardware related to Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Alarm Systems, Indoor and Outdoor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Controller and Reader Modules, Open Architecture Security solutions, Automated Vehicle Gates (AVG) and Automated Vehicle Barriers (AVB). You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through professional communication and task management, and your knowledge will be vital as you identify areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical environment. This position requires the ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts. This is a hybrid role working onsite and remotely.
