Under the direction of the Deputy Director of Transit Enforcement, the Security Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining Security Systems hardware, software and systems programs used in the day-to-day operations of the Transit Enforcement and Passenger Safety Department. The Security Systems Administrator supports the functionality of the current RMS & CAD interface, tracks inventory and technical upgrades of hardware, software and program functions used by the Transit Enforcement and Passenger Safety Department, manages the Body Camera program to include the storage/management/retrieval of body camera video and provides reports as necessary to Department management, specific to the security systems employed by the Transit Enforcement and Passenger Safety Department. This role manages and maintains the Regional Communications System (RCS) and acts as the liaison between MTS and RCS. The Security Systems Administrator also works in close partnership with the Information Technology (IT) Department of MTS to ensure systems compatibility with programs, hardware and software used by the Transit Enforcement and Passenger Safety Department and the general hardware, software and systems employed by the MTS as part of the overall security posture. This position works closely with the MTS Legal Department to collect, document and retain video evidence that can assist in litigation. Additionally, the Security Systems Administrator will liaison with every local law enforcement agency investigative units. This position provides direct support to the Transit Enforcement and Passenger Safety Department's Code Compliance Inspectors, uniformed contract security staff and general security systems support to the MTS executive management team.
