One Source Security is looking for a Security System Service Technician to support our team. The Security System Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security systems for both residential and commercial clients. This role requires a thorough understanding of security technologies and proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving system issues to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with security system installations and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with various security technologies and equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in electronics or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively address and resolve client issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interaction and support.
  • High level of precision and attention to detail in carrying out technical work.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks such as climbing ladders and handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and install security systems including alarms, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and other related equipment at client sites.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on security systems to ensure reliability and functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by clients, providing timely solutions to maintain system integrity.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining system functions, and ensuring clients are comfortable with their security setups.
  • Recommend and implement system upgrades to enhance security measures as needed, keeping up-to-date with the latest security technologies and trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions for each job site.
  • Ensure installations and repairs comply with industry standards and regulations.
