Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Three to five years of experience in Security
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws pertaining to the activities of Security personnel (including OSHA, Hazardous Communications, and Blood borne Pathogen Exposure Control)
  • CPR Certified
  • Guard Card Holder
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & oral
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to lift 30 to 50 pounds
  • Able to work weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Resort security experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs day-to-day gatekeeper duties as needed. Such duties are greeting guests upon arrival, property patrolling, logs calls & gate activities and dispatches calls to other departments
  • As the Security Supervisor, understands that the security gate is the beginning of our guest’s arrival experience and must ensure that the entire Security Team provides a refined. Professional and friendly reception for all guests and associates.
  • Supervises, controls, and coordinates the job performance of security officers and Lead security officers
  • Prepares weekly schedules to be verified by the Front Office Manager and ensures schedules are implemented
  • Assists in hiring the new associates and trains them in the Security Department
  • Documents all delivery, employee and guests entry to the property.
  • Responds to emergency situations promptly, evaluates the nature & severity of the situation and responds and notifies appropriate management team members
  • Writes detailed incident reports regarding incidents of theft, injury, property damage and/or incident relating to an infraction of laws, company policies or breaches of security
  • Assists with investigations as directed
  • Conducts regular Security meetings
  • Oversees key control distribution & collection for associates and contractors
  • Patrols property for any safety and fire hazards
  • Oversees and practices safety & security procedures and policies and is the direct liaison with the Human Resources Manager for the resort’s safety committee
  • Personally practices and maintains the highest standards of professionalism & customer service when interacting with fellow associates, management, owners and guests.
  • Understands that the position will entail confidential matters related to Human Resources and General Manager that will require strict confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager, Human Resources Manager and General Manager
