Job Summary The Hotel Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel security team, ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property. This role involves coordinating security measures, conducting investigations, and providing guidance and training to security staff. The Hotel Security Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining a secure environment and assisting in the implementation of security policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in security supervision or a related role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in security technology and surveillance systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
  • Ability to operate security equipment and technology effectively.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in security management or law enforcement (e.g., CPP, PSP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the hotel security team, ensuring all security personnel adhere to established protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises to monitor activities and identify potential security risks.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and guest complaints, providing immediate assistance and resolution.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Maintain and monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
  • Conduct investigations into security breaches, theft, and other incidents, documenting findings and reporting to management.
  • Provide training and guidance to new security staff on procedures, policies, and emergency protocols.
  • Collaborate with hotel management and local authorities for effective security operations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on security incidents, activities, and staff performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and hotel policies related to security.
