Security Supervisor- Orlando
About The Position
supervise a highly demanding shift of security officers responsible for safe-guarding property against illegal entry, fire, theft and vandalism ensure the presence of required security officers to fulfill all necessary tasks for shift or facility ensure the quality of performance of security officers, patrol area of responsibility, maintain schedules, make frequent patrol rounds, maintain daily activity log, and complete incident reports enforce all Publix security policies and procedures, detain and question person(s) as required report directly to the Manager of Security Operations, but will work with facility management in matters of safety, security and loss control complete other security duties as assigned
Requirements
- security officer and/or security clerk experience
- must be at least 20 years of age with a valid driver's license
- working knowledge of Word, Access, Excel and Outlook
- able to withstand walking and standing for long periods of time
- excellent supervisory skills
- able to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended periods of time
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- able to use a two-way radio
- able to work well with others and be a team member

Nice To Haves
- three (3) years security experience
- one (1) year of general supervisory experience
- possess a Class "D" Security Officer's License or independently obtain a Class "D" Security Officer's License within 90 days of the hire date
