About The Position

This position is responsible for overall supervision of the security department on designated shift. The Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Tribal, State, and Federal Law, rules, regulations, processes, procedures. May assist with training and will ensure the protection of company assets and the safety of our guests, and team members. This position ensures the confidentiality, security and accuracy of guest’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

Requirements

  • An Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field required and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • This position requires one (1) year of law enforcement or security background and supervisory experience required.
  • Excellent communication and guest relation skills are essential.
  • Able to learn and follow detailed Security policies and procedures.
  • Possess exceptional report writing skills, plus Defensive Tactics Training with advanced handcuffing certification, preferred.
  • Participate and qualify in various training programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED, defensive tactics, handcuffing, training on how to resolve and handle conflict, etc.
  • New hires must obtain and maintain a valid First Aid/CPR/AED (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years old and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class III Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen; and have and maintain a driving record that at least meets the minimum requirements established by Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel vehicle insurance provider.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of six (6) months of current of supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Prior experience in a security position or casino environment is preferred.
  • Possess exceptional report writing skills, plus Defensive Tactics Training with advanced handcuffing certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes primary security officer responsibility for designated shift in absence of Security Manager.
  • Supervises other security officers on shift in handling problems, incidents, temporary and permanent bars, etc.
  • Works with the Security Manager, Security Lead Supervisor and/or Table Games Shift Manager.
  • Oversees procedures for protecting company assets.
  • Promotes positive customer and team member relations.
  • Maintains security reports, documents and equipment. Includes reviewing security incident reports and correcting reports.
  • Provides input to manager for evaluations, disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
  • Is accountable for responsible money handling procedures.
  • Acts as a Casino greeter, checks customer I.D.’s, and maintains daily visitor logs.
  • Is helpful, courteous, and friendly.
  • Is current on facility disaster plans and responds appropriately.
  • Provides ongoing recognition and motivation for staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
