About The Position

The Security Supervisor at Iron Door Management is responsible for overseeing all security operations at a designated property, leading a 24/7 armed security team. This role involves establishing and maintaining comprehensive safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and implementing operational improvements. The position requires hands-on management combined with strategic planning, and the opportunity to expand security operations across multiple properties in the Kansas City metro area.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a supervisory role within security, law enforcement, or related fields.
  • Armed security management experience.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Familiarity with loss prevention strategies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Missouri Class A Security License.
  • Missouri Armed Security License.
  • Experience building and leading armed security teams.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies and surveillance systems.
  • Emergency response and crisis management expertise.
  • Clean background check and drug screening.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Firearms proficiency certification.
  • Ability to pass regular firearm qualification tests.

Responsibilities

  • Build, train, and manage a 24/7 armed security team.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security protocols.
  • Work rotating armed security shifts as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and team performance.
  • Coordinate with KCPD and emergency services.
  • Monitor and maintain security systems and equipment.
  • Create detailed incident reports and security metrics.
  • Participate in property management meetings.
  • Ensure team is up to date on the appropriate licensing for their position.
  • Develop expansion strategies for multi-property security operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
