As a Security Professional - Corrections Patrol Supervisor in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a corrections environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all. Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to client needs in the corrections environment.
Help to deter incidents by conducting regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned areas, including building interiors, exteriors, and perimeters.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for corrections facilities.
Monitor for unusual activity and hazards during patrols and report any observations according to site procedures.
Assist with access control and/or visitor check-in as required by the location.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, communicating clearly with staff and/or law enforcement personnel as needed.
Complete incident reports and daily activity logs to document security-related events and actions taken during the shift.
