About The Position

The Security Supervisor at CIRI Building in Anchorage is responsible for overseeing security personnel and ensuring the safety and security of the CIRI Office Building. This role involves managing security operations, responding to incidents, and enforcing policies to protect personnel and property from various threats such as theft, vandalism, and harassment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of law enforcement, military, or security experience.
• State of Alaska Unarmed Security Guard certification.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).

Nice To Haves

• Two years of supervisory or management experience in security.
• Experience in corporate building security.

Responsibilities

• Supervise security personnel assigned to the CIRI contract.
• Enforce policies and procedures related to security operations.
• Administer the DUS Quality Control Program and Safety Program.
• Control access of personnel, materials, and equipment to the building.
• Perform security patrols of the work sites and respond to alarms and security breaches.
• Maintain communication via radio/telephone and effectively communicate during emergencies.
• Conduct investigations by interviewing participants and witnesses, and document findings.
• Exercise sound judgment in determining appropriate actions during incidents.
• Evaluate individual performance of security officers and take corrective actions as necessary.
