About The Position

The primary purpose of this role is to supervise the security operations on designated Lowe’s SSCs. Also, to ensure the safety and security of associates, contractors and visitors. Provides direct oversight of the security team and security operations. Provides operation security and maintains life and safety systems. Appropriately respond to emergency situations, as well as medical incidences. This role will also supervise security of Lowe’s corporate events wherever they are held and support the Director of Executive Protection function area.

Requirements

  • 10 years + of Experience: Utilizing access management software (DNA Fusion and Passage Point) and awareness of best practices associated with the same
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various computer programs including Network Client, Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Word
  • Demonstrated knowledge in organizing large amounts of data
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Prior law enforcement or military experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain adequate security staffing for normal operations and special events
  • Identify and seek immediate and long-term solutions to life-safety issues
  • Train and schedule officers as necessary
  • Provide supervision of officers to properly perform all duties required
  • Operate the shift in support of global security
  • Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents
  • Complete Accident Reports and Incident Reports, when appropriate
  • Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
  • Know campus policies and procedures and lead and enforce them within position limits
  • Conduct equipment checks to ensure the functionality and status (Fire extinguisher, AED, medical supplies, etc.)
  • Assist with any corporate events that take place on SSCs and provide additional security as needed
  • Maintain First Aid, CPR and AED certification (which will be provided by Lowe’s)
  • Keep global security management informed on all incidents and relevant security matters
  • Review the CCTV system and access control system to aid during an investigation
  • Respond to emergencies (medical, fire, and hazmat)
  • Complete payroll and verify time sheets
  • Evaluate, assess and analyze performance of security personnel by using key performance indicators
  • Respond to, investigate and follow-up on all matters involving the personal safety or security concerns of security members, associates, vendors and contractors
  • Identify safety and security issues to ensure appropriate measures can be taken to rectify those concerns
  • Support global security goals and objectives as defined by management
  • Complete special projects as assigned by global security leadership and support executive protection function area
  • Oversight of command center and ensuring that critical information is documented and disseminated as appropriate
