About The Position

Noblis is seeking a highly motivated Security Specialist for our location in Reston VA. The Security Specialist is responsible for successfully administering the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and proprietary information programs for the proper protection of Noblis, personnel and government assets, including: Maintaining an accurate and updated Fixed Facility Checklist and accreditation letters, alarm maintenance, certification documentation and testing, construction security plans and customer coordination and approval for modifications. Submitting SCI Nominations to various programs Conducting and arranging Indoctrinations and debriefings, badge & account requests, refresher training, document reviews, document control, clearance realignments, DISS, NBIS entries/maintenance, document removal/destruction. Creating, updating, enhancing and participating in security plans, procedures, instruction, and education programs. Developing and implementing an employee education and training program to assure the security awareness on the part of all employees. Implementing an effective visitor control program to include the processing of outgoing and incoming classified visit requests. Assisting with building, accrediting and managing Closed Areas, SCIFs, across various government agencies. Managing the safeguarding of classified information and materials (i.e. receipt, logging, control, dissemination, transfer, destruction). Work with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to oversee development and maintenance of an effective Information Systems (IS) security program for the electronic processing of classified information. Develop system security plans, submit for government accreditation and maintain such ensuring compliance with contractual security requirements. Developing and implementing a physical security program that controls access to the buildings and internal secure areas. Establishing the requirements for and monitor the construction of SCIFs. Coordinate the accreditation with the government. Manage the facility's automated intrusion detection and access control system. Providing security support and liaison to field locations to ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program and proprietary security program. Acting as the point of contact with government security representatives and local, state and federal law enforcement officials. Specialized knowledge of all security policies and procedures and ability to interpret security requirements and apply them consistently across diverse situations. Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently and ability to prioritize, schedule and complete multiple tasks. Extensive knowledge and experience in specialized area of expertise to include Department of Defense (DOD), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Maintaining security database (DISS, NBIS, e-FCL) and Access Commander. Providing and performing a wide variety of security related operations including, but not limited to: personnel security, information system security, document control, and physical security. Assisting employees with obtaining government agency badges Completing visit requests and maintaining security files Creating and maintaining DD254s Performing self-inspections and assist with DSS inspections and customer Security inspections Create security training material and conduct security education briefings/ training Perform physical access control-related duties, including, but not limited to: Processing requests for employee and visitor identification badges Processing incoming and outgoing visit authorization requests Maintaining the automated access control system Coordinating with the Government Security Office for periodic security inspections Responding to alarms outside of core business hours when and if required. The CSSO will be added to the alarm response team list (this is a mandatory requirement).

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s OR Master's degree and 8 years related years of experience; OR Associate degree and 11 years of related experience; OR High School Dimploma/GED with 14 years of related years of experience.
  • Must have Knowledge of DISS, NBIS,e-FCL, ACCS, SWFT, ISFD, EQIP, and DD-254’s, Access Commander
  • Must have intricate knowledge of the NISPOM Rule, industrial security letters and other materials pertaining to the NISP.
  • Employee must be able to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality with the up-most integrity.

Nice To Haves

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph is highly desired

Responsibilities
