About The Position

Responsibilities include: Basic installation and troubleshooting of electronic security, life safety, and telecommunications systems with a heavy emphasis on terminating cables and field devices and installing said devices Assisting Senior Technicians with field verification testing. Accurately interpret SES blueprints to complete a given task.(i.e. Cable Index, Floor Plans, Hardware Equipment) Preparing and installing cable pathways & spaces. Identifying appropriate cables from drawings and running cables/fiber per installation design plans. Testing continuity of conductor(s) or breaks in fiber. Terminating basic connections such as butt splices, insulated connectors, terminal strips/blocks and BNC connectors. Mounting and terminating field devices (i.e. Readers, Door Contacts, REXs, Cameras). Ensuring all assigned IMMS tickets are resolved and documented. Adhering to all M.C. Dean and S.E.S. policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Secret clearance
• 4-6 years of experience
• Experience in camera systems (preferably Pelco or Bosch) and security systems (preferably C-CURE, AMAG, Lenel)
• Experience in security installations at a large facility
