About The Position

The Security Specialist for the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites (ISMHS) is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the museum, its staff, and its guests. This role involves safeguarding valuable artifacts and exhibits, ensuring a pleasant experience for visitors, and responding to emergencies. The position requires regular patrols of the facility, monitoring security systems, and enforcing security protocols, making it essential for preserving the museum's integrity and enhancing visitor experiences.

Requirements

• Keen observational skills to detect unusual behavior or potential hazards.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and law enforcement.
• Quick decision-making skills, particularly in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol both buildings and surrounding areas to ensure safety and security.
