About The Position

The Security Specialist at Federal Express Corporation is responsible for providing security oversight and asset protection across multiple locations. This role involves conducting investigations into thefts and workplace violence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing relationships with emergency command centers. The specialist will also track security metrics and serve as a liaison to train business partners on security matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• One year of airline security or related experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft-based computer programs.
• Ability to prepare investigative summaries and detailed reports.
• Knowledge of anti-terrorism operations.
• Must be bondable and qualify for a commission as a law enforcement/private officer.
• Ability to complete required training programs.
• Good human relations, investigative, communication, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk mitigation efficiently and effectively across several FedEx locations.
• Conduct investigations into thefts, workplace violence, and other detrimental activities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by maintaining security case load and information systems.
• Track and report on key security network goals and metrics.
• Address product loss mitigation and physical security considerations through investigations and interviews.
• Engage, coach, and train business partners on security matters as the subject matter expert.
