About The Position

Security guards prevent risks and deter crime, watch out for looming danger, and report any crime they may encounter. A security guard or security officer is a person who is paid to protect property, assets, or people.

Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • Completion of Security Certification program.
  • Possess First Aid and CPR Card or obtain through Watson Clinic Education classes within 90 days of employment.
  • Must have a valid Florida driver's license with a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year Associates of Science degree program in criminal justice with 1 to 3 years of working experience in the field of Security Services.
  • Attend Basic and Advanced Chiller and Fire Panel reset education with demonstration of learned skillsets within 30 days of employment.
  • Must have basic knowledge of fire extinguisher utilization and/or attend NFPA class.
  • Must possess knowledge of patient transfer and lifting ergonomics or attend educational class within 30 days of employment.
  • Must be willing to attend continuous education classes pertinent to hospitality and patient services.
  • Must have customer service experience.
  • Must have experience interacting with general public.
  • Must have prior safety/security/hospitality experience.
  • Must have basic computer skills or willing to attend educational class.
  • Must have experience handling cash and making bank deposits.
  • Must display calm mannerism in a crisis or difficult situation(s).
  • Must be dependable and maintain an exceptional attendance record.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods and be able to assist with lifting/transporting patients.
  • Must enjoy working with people and assisting in making them more comfortable.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits strong customer service skills while greeting and meeting patients, employees and special visitors.
  • Provide patient assists for patients requesting assistance.
  • Remains on station at entrances of clinic locations to assist patients, employees and special visitors.
  • Maintains adequate level and order of wheelchairs at all entrances.
  • Provides directions and information to patients, employees and special visitors.
  • Assists in change orders and distribution of change for clinical services.
  • Occasional 1st and 3rd shift duties include checking all perimeter doors at building's and or areas of assignment.
  • Periodic walk through of assigned buildings and or areas.
  • Monitor TempTrack to ensure quality and safety of contents. Take appropriate action if needed.
