  • Takes responsibility for the Company's program for the physical Protection of Entergy property, equipment, and facilities.
  • Conducts investigations of security violations committed by employees or private individuals when violations involve company property.
  • Provides advice and assistance in the development of sound security practices and procedures in all areas, except nuclear, of Entergy operations.
  • Selects and monitors contract or proprietary security forces for adequate coverage at required locations.
  • Advises on necessary physical security features to be incorporated in new construction and remodeling projects.
  • Coordinates contacts with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies concerning security issues.
  • Conducts investigations of thefts or suspicions of theft of Entergy Property.
  • Conducts investigations involving malicious damage to Company property and equipment.
  • Conducts investigations of other unlawful acts including extortion, assaults, drug abuse, and workplace violence.
  • Administers contract security alarms services.
  • Conducts Physical security vulnerability surveys of Entergy facilities and makes recommendations to improve security.
  • Provides protection services to executives and their family.
  • Provides and coordinates the security plan for the annual board of directors, quarterly board meetings, and shareholders meeting.
  • Takes responsibility for responding to the Ethics Line notification and making contact with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).
  • Typically requires a college or university degree in related field or the equivalent work experience.
  • Security Specialist: 5 years of relevant work experience in law enforcement or security management.
  • Lead Security Specialist: 7 years of relevant work experience in law enforcement or security management.
  • ASIS certification in PSP or CPP is preferred.
  • Prefer Experience: 10 years of experience in law enforcement or security management field, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Prefer Experience: 12 years of experience in law enforcement or security management field, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
