About The Position

As a Security Specialist III with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: Serve as a subject matter expert across all security disciplines, including Physical Security (PHYSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Industrial Security (INDUSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), Special Programs, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Collateral Security, and related areas. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and plans in accordance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Marine Corps, and federal regulations. Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and compliance reviews to identify and mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities. Manage and oversee all aspects of personnel security, including processing security clearances, conducting background investigations, and providing security awareness training. Administer and maintain access control systems, alarm systems, and other physical security measures to safeguard facilities and assets. Oversee the secure handling, storage, and transmission of classified information, ensuring compliance with INFOSEC policies and procedures. Provide guidance and support to program managers and other personnel on security-related matters. Investigate security incidents and violations, conduct interviews, and prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations. Liaise with government security officials and other external stakeholders on security-related issues. Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate personnel on security policies, procedures, and best practices. Manage and maintain security documentation, including security plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other relevant records. Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant DoD/IC program security management experience.
  • Must have active Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP/SCI standards, policy processes, and U.S. Government practices and other security laws and regulations
  • Experience implementing ICD 705 standards for SAP/SCI facilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills
  • Sound understanding of theories and practices within risk mitigation and the continually changing security environment
  • Ability to implement strong security strategy with practices designed to successfully address evolving SAP/SCI security requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability for advanced conceptual thinking in complex and/or completely new situations
