Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Possess a guard card.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site protocols.
  • Communicate with residents, tenants, staff, vendors, and/or the public regarding access procedures, visitor processing, and property rules.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
