Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college/university.
  • Three years of experience in PHYSEC and INFOSEC in the DOD or IC security.
  • If a proposed individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications, seven years of professional technical activities related to security would be considered equivalent.
  • Three of these seven years should demonstrate experience in PHYSEC and INFOSEC in the DOD or IC security arena.
  • Demonstrated experience with alarm and access control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, disseminating, and presenting and tracking all training materials.
  • Performing data entries to the current personnel security database and maintaining personnel security files for all personnel supported by the SSO.
  • Conducting Defense Central Index of Investigations (DCII), DISS, and SF 86 reviews of candidates being submitted for SCI access.
  • Processing any and all incoming and outgoing visit requests for the SSO.
  • Conducting screening interviews and indoctrination briefings to indoctrinate SCI personnel.
