Leidos currently has an opening for a junior Security Specialist to join a dynamic team at Offutt AFB in Omaha, Nebraska. This position supports a major program aligned with Air Combat Command’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required. As a Security Specialist, you will be a key contributor to the protection and success of this critical mission. Requirements

  • High school diploma with 5 years of intel/security experience, or an associate degree with 3 years.
  • A minimum of 2 years must be in a direct security role (such as Junior SSO, Security Assistant, or Facilities Manager).
  • Active Top Secret/SCI on day 1.
  • Ability to obtain a polygraph upon hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge on how to create file plans, ability to schedule/deconflict events, review and update files/documents, provide briefings to incoming personnel, and assist the overall team as needed.
  • Previous information management experience.
  • Current polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute security objectives for personnel and physical security issues.
  • These actions include, but are not limited to, all administrative processing of unit personnel and access to Defense Information System for Security (DISS); develop and submit facility and equipment security accreditation packages; participate in security-related assessments and evaluations; and review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate Government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions.
  • Support industrial, personnel, and physical security program and non-disclosure processes and applications.
  • Provide security briefings to personnel holding collateral and SCI clearances.
