About The Position

Amazon Buy with Prime and Multi-Channel Fulfillment organizations is looking for a motivated and experienced security architect ready to partner across Amazon tech and security orgs to secure our services and data. As the right candidate, you will possess technical skills in software architecture, information security, tooling and automation, software deployment and cloud computing. You should also be able to think strategically and tactically about business, product, and technical challenges. You are an influencer by nature, will be seen as someone that our software engineers, security and compliance teams are eager to engage with, and have a hands-on approach with a bias for action. The ideal candidate has the ability to learn new concepts and technologies, is able to communicate effectively with a diverse set of customers or partners across multiple disciplines, and is able to work effectively across internal and external organizations and remote teams. You will act as a key member of the team responsible for enabling security as a business enabler, by creating practical and scalable security solutions, enabling security by design, embedding security into Amazon dev-teams's day to day work, and raising security awareness through trainings and mentoring. You will earn trust to establish credibility and maintain strong working relationships with all peers and stakeholders (Security, Engineering, Legal, Business Development, Internal Audit, etc.). The ability to build repeatable artifacts, and assess deliverables as a force multiplier is a critical skill for this role. You should have a demonstrated ability to think about business challenges and articulate technical solutions to solve those problems. As part of the solution architect community you will capture and share best practices with your peers, generate internal and external technical content, and participate in evangelist and workshop activities to grow the community. We operate in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly, so a passion and discipline around security and delivery is critical. You will tackle challenging situations every day and, given the size of this initiative, you will collaborate with various levels across Buy with Prime, Multi-Channel Fulfillment, AWS and other Amazon orgs.
