Security Software Engineer, Google AI and Computing Infrastructure
About The Position

As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. As a part of the Emergent AI infrastructure team in Google, you will build the next-generation of on-prem AI infrastructure to bring the best of Google to empower frontier model and AI solution builders to advance the state-of-the-art for AI around the world. You will join a team looking for engineers with exposure to fully integrated AI infrastructure systems, from hardware to software design and workload management. You will bring experience building AI clusters using the latest technologies for AI acceleration and cluster interconnects and networking. In this role, you will be responsible for hardware and software security for On-Prem or cloud deployments of AI infrastructure products. You will work on firmware, driver, operating system, networking and services security work partnering with multiple groups.The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++, C, or Python.
- 2 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- 2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with security teams inside of Google and partner and customer teams working with us.
- Develop OS and hardware security features for our product.
- Design security solutions within the scope of the broader area.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
