About the position

The Security Supervisor is responsible for managing the Security Department on assigned shift. This role involves supervising, planning, and scheduling security activities to ensure the smooth operation of security measures within the organization. The supervisor will oversee the activities of Security Officers and ensure optimum guest satisfaction through excellent customer service. Additionally, the supervisor will handle various incidents, enforce company policies, and coordinate responses to emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises plans and schedules Security activities.
  • Determines personnel deployment and level requirements within a shift.
  • Assigns work and establishes priorities.
  • Oversees and directs the activities of Security Officers to ensure the smooth flow of security operations on assigned shift.
  • Accesses drop boxes, soft count and coin rooms, chips, markers, fill slips and other sensitive areas.
  • Assures optimum guest satisfaction through the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Investigates accidents, injuries, lost property, property damage, etc., and ensures required reports are completed.
  • Enforces company policies as they pertain to guest and employee conduct on the premises, documenting infractions and advising management where appropriate.
  • Responds to all emergencies such as fire, injuries, property damage, etc., directing and/or assisting with evacuations if required.
  • Verifies and approves all arrests, apprehending individuals engaged in criminal activity and detaining them until law enforcement arrives.
  • Ensures enforcement of state gaming laws, including the identification and removal of underage persons from the casino floor.
  • Responds to verbal and/or physical altercations, applying or directing appropriate measures to resolve the situation.
  • Initiates formal evictions of disorderly persons.
  • Responds to and/or directs the company response to requests for medical assistance, providing assistance consistent with company policy and available personnel's skill level.
  • Coordinates and supervises crowd control for special events.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar position within the gaming or hotel industry.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Card.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Alcohol Card.
  • 1st Aid CPR (Training Provided).
