About The Position

Associa is looking for Security Shift Supervisor to join our team in Rancho Mirage, CA.   Duties include, but are not limited to: Trains and develops officers from a group that has been screened, tested, background checked and processed and hired by Desert Resort Management Security. Ensures work group members receive specialized training in the proper functioning and/or execution of vehicles, radio communication, computer use, gate operations, familiarity with State and Federal Law, patrol techniques, the Association’s Rules and Regulations, the writing of clear and concise Incident/Initial reports HOA and Desert Resort Management company procedural operations. Directs training involving teaching, demonstration and/or advising officers in productive work methods consistent with HOA.   Ensures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment used by officers, including, but not limited to, vehicles, radios, surveillance cameras and computer.  Also is         responsible for informing the appropriate parties regarding the proper maintenance of the gate(s) and/or barrier arm(s). Inspects patrol officers and patrol vehicles Reviews, analyzes and approves officer reports Becomes familiar with the standing Posts and fills in or assigns officers to fill in as needed Resource to the guards Inspect each gate and officers   Shift Schedule: Friday through Tuesday  Swing Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Days Off: Wednesday & Thursday   What do we offer? Requirements

  • Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
  • Professional customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level.
  • Time management and time-critical prioritization skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • 0 - 3 years of directly related or closely related experience
  • Guard Card Required
