Requirements

  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing security operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
  • Adherence to Code of Conduct and all Calder Casino policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and promote our business strategy of Clean, Safe, Compliant, Engagement, Service, and EBITDA.
  • Maintain an open-door policy for Team Members to allow open communication.
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge and understanding of the property’s Emergency Response and Disaster Plans.
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge and understanding of the KeyWatcher system and software.
  • Exhibit advanced knowledge and understanding of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and regulations as well as company internal controls, policies, and procedure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the shift.
  • Ability to deescalate conflict and provide conflict resolution.
  • One to Three years’ experience in security, law enforcement, and/or casino/hotel security.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a valid gaming license.
  • Valid FL Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • CPR / AED Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Shift Manager in daily security team operations.
  • Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and customers.
  • Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift.
  • Ensures all visitors, vendors and contractors are logged and accounted for while on property.
  • Delegates duties and assign responsibilities to staff.
  • Responsible for key control and inventory for all sensitive keys.
  • Responds to activated alarms for emergency situations such as fire, floor / power outages, and door security concerns or breaches.
  • Respond, evaluate, provide first aid, and notify emergency medical services to guest and team members that require in a medical crisis.
  • Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting
  • Schedule rotation of officers throughout officer posts.
  • Assists in the performance management process by contributing to the documentation and delivery of performance reviews.
  • Assist in development of Team Members, conducts interviews, and participates in the selection, hiring, coaching, retention, and termination process.
  • Conduct training with officers.
  • May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that requires a valid driver’s license.
  • Other duties as assigned.
