About The Position

As the Security Shift Supervisor for Grand Casinos, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of the Security Department on assigned shifts, overseeing the safety of Guests and staff, and maintaining the security of the facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; some college or related training highly preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in security management, law enforcement, or gaming security, with two (2) years’ supervisory experience required.
  • Two (2) years Gaming experience preferred; One (1) year investigation experience preferred.
  • Must be able to secure a license from Gaming Regulatory Authority (GRA).
  • Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision of Security Officers on assigned shift.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting and disciplining Associates, as needed.
  • Patrol the property on assigned shift, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and reporting the same to the appropriate individual.
  • Act as a back-up to Security Officers on assigned shift and assumes their duties when necessary.
  • Prepare and request reports on incidents involving Guests, Associates and/or the facility, as needed.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Grand Casino’s facilities, as well as special events on property.
  • Guard all transfers on monies and chips on the casino floor.
  • Interact with Guests and Associates in a positive, professional manner.
  • Ensure a maximum level of Guest Service and satisfaction throughout the property.
  • Attend departmental meetings and participate in training opportunities.
  • Understand Crisis Management Plan and infectious disease procedures.
  • Perform other departmental duties assigned to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the team.
