About The Position

The position functions as a supervisor of Security Officers, Lead Officers, and other company personnel assigned to one or more posts at client site(s). The supervisor ensures that all post orders are followed, established rounds are completed, and required reports are filed. In emergency situations, the supervisor notifies the proper authorities and the client. The role includes coaching and disciplining personnel, training Security Officers, and assisting in payroll and personnel information submission. The supervisor also prepares and submits various reports, inspects posts, and meets with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met and quality customer service is provided. Additionally, the supervisor carries out various supervisory duties, including interviewing, training, planning, and addressing complaints. The supervisor may also perform the duties of a Security Officer as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 2 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in retail preferred.
  • Knowledge of security operations, patrol, inspection, and response services.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Ability to provide positive direction and motivate performance.
  • Understanding of security and safety devices and controls.
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions.
  • Ability to maintain professional composure in unusual circumstances.
  • Good organizational skills and strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a supervisory role within security operations.
  • Certification or license for Security Officers as required by state or local laws.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Security Officers and other personnel at client site(s).
  • Ensure compliance with post orders and completion of established rounds.
  • Notify authorities and clients in emergency situations.
  • Coach and discipline personnel as appropriate.
  • Train Security Officers and review post orders with subordinates.
  • Assist in payroll and personnel information submission.
  • Ensure adequate coverage of all posts and positions.
  • Prepare, file, and submit various reports.
  • Inspect posts and meet with subordinates to outline tasks.
  • Meet with client representatives to ensure security requirements are met.
  • Carry out supervisory duties including interviewing, training, and performance appraisal.
  • Perform duties of a Security Officer as needed.
