About The Position
The Security Service Technician is an entry level position that will assist in performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and support for PC based access control, video systems, intrusion, and related equipment. The technician will be trained in installation and repairing company installed equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools
- Computer hardware and software skills. (Microsoft Word, Excel, hard drives, etc.)
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and interactive skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with access systems, IP cameras, intercoms, intrusion systems, and hardware installation is a plus
- Troubleshooting skills or basic knowledge of electronics is a plus
- Basic knowledge of networks is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform Service Support Program duties
- Assist in installation of quoted service projects
- Install door hardware, cameras, pull cable, and work at heights
- Troubleshoot access control, intrusion, intercom, and video systems.
- Replace failed components, as necessary
- Must keep paperwork up to date
- Communication with Team Lead and Service Coordinator
