About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Security Systems Technician with experience in fire alarm systems, access control and Video Surveillance (CCTV). The technician will be responsible for installation, service, troubleshooting and maintenance of low-voltage security and fire life safety systems across commercial sites. Key Responsibilities: Install, program, test, service and troubleshooting fire alarm systems, ensuring NFPA compliance & local codes and regulations. Install and maintain access control systems (card readers, mag locks, electric strikes, controllers) Install, configure & repair CCTV/Video Surveillance Systems (IP cameras, NVRs, VMS platforms). Perform system inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot & repair system issues efficiently in the field. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics & wiring diagrams in the field. Ensure all work meets safety standards, codes and company quality expectations. Provide clear communication with customers, coworkers and managers. Able to complete service reports, documentations and closeout paperwork in a timely manner. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in fire alarm, access control and/or security systems. Knowledge of NFPA72 and low voltage wiring standards. Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to pass background check and drug testing. Able to go on rotating on-call service after hours and weekends. Preferred Qualifications: Fire alarm certification, NICET Level 1 or higher. Manufacturer certification. Experience with network-based systems, IP configuration, basic networking. OSHA or other safety certification. FASABASA (Fire Alarm System Agent License) (Burglar Alarm System Agent License). Skills and Competence: Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Attention to detail and code compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of the team. Good customer service and communication skills. Organized & able to manage multiple service calls and projects. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. Comfortable working on ladders, lifts and confined spaces as required indoors and outdoors. Ability to work in construction and remodel settings. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $29-39 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Requirements
